Click the Reports button on the toolbar to enter the reports mode.
Purpose
This mode primarily functions:
- Generate reports about the contents of files for analysis purposes
- Integration of complex documents with workflows and content management systems, without programming.
Report Process
One or more input files are processed, in this example a single file is shown.
Two kinds of report files are created and can be individually activated:
Barcode Value File. Each report file contains the data from a single barcode. If there are several valid barcodes on the page, then that many report files will be produced. This is the only report file that can hold binary data, which is found in 2D-barcodes in a raw (unparsed) format. The name of the file is fixed and contains the input file name, page number and barcode number within page. However, the user defines the target folder to hold the report files.
Multiple barcodes value and properties report. this more typical report can be generated in either XML or delimited (coma- or TAB- separated) format. The user specifies the fields of the report and their order for the report as well as location and name of the report.
