Improve OCR/ICR Performance

Fax and scanned images are often analyzed by OCR in order to create search indices or to process the documents (for example: Invoices). The yield rate of OCR depends on many factors, but the fundamental contributor is the quality of the image and the text that it displays.

The quality issues that are often seen in documents and impact OCR/ICR yield include:

	Skewed text – OCR systems often cannot read text skewed by more than 10 degrees
